FREE BROWSER DEMO
Paste a small product CSV, or load the fictional example. The checker runs in your browser and does not send the CSV to our server. For sensitive data, use the offline paid download instead. This demo checks a deliberately limited subset.
Maximum 100 KB / 500 data rows. Paste product data only, never customer or order exports.
Free: headers, required columns for chosen intent, row width, basic option dependencies. Paid: additional selected checks for values, URLs, repeated SKUs and spreadsheet risks, plus CSV/JSON findings exports and an EN/FI interface. Neither checks every Shopify rule.

PRACTICAL CSV GUIDE
Shopify’s product CSV documentation is the format authority. Its current guidance says CSV columns are comma-separated and the first row carries the column headers. For a new product, Title is required; when adding variants, URL handle is also required. Updating products requires both URL handle and Title.
When updating variant-related fields such as SKU or weight, Shopify says to include Option1 name and Option1 value. Omitting option data can create a default variant and delete existing variants. Review these dependencies against your actual import; a preflight warning cannot predict every importer outcome.
Export a backup before bulk edits. Test a small representative import and inspect products and variants afterward. For stores with multiple locations, Shopify points to its separate inventory CSV workflow rather than relying on the sample product CSV’s inventory quantity column. This tool neither edits your CSV nor performs an import.
Need a concrete checklist before changing SKUs? Read the variant-update safety worksheet with a fictional side-by-side example and a small-import procedure.

COMMON QUESTIONS
No. Both versions perform selected preflight checks, not exhaustive validation or an import guarantee. Back up and test a small import.
No. Its checking code runs in your browser; this page has no CSV upload endpoint. Avoid pasting sensitive information into any web page. The paid ZIP can run offline after extraction.
It adds selected value, URL, duplicate-SKU and spreadsheet-safety checks; line-numbered CSV/JSON exports; an English/Finnish interface; and offline use. Rule explanations are English. It does not repair files automatically.
No. Neither version imports to Shopify or changes your source file. No Shopify credentials are needed.
Use a UTF-8 comma-separated product CSV based on Shopify’s latest documentation. The checker recognizes selected current and older field names; it does not support every Shopify column or format.
